National Safety Month

Summer is here. The pools are open, the sun is shining, parks are crowded, and never the less, accidents are bound to happen. Let’s face it, humans do not always have their guard up. We trip and scrape our knee, touch a hot pan, miss a step on the stairs, and sometimes acquire a paper cut. These are things that are common and less serious but it still proves that we are not being conscientious on how safe our environment is.

Now is the time to be aware of our safety. June is National Safety month! This June marks the 100th year of Safety! The National Safety Council (NSC) is encouraging us to spread the word, “Safety Starts with Me”. Don’t miss out on their weekly themes: Preventing Slips, Trips and Falls, Employee Wellness, Emergency Preparedness, and Ergonomics. Plus! Learn about summer and driving safety!

To find out how you can get involved and watch a video on National Safety month visit their (NCS) website by clicking on this link: http://www.nsc.org/nsc_events/Nat_Safe_Month/Pages/home.aspx

I think everybody should be trained in CPR & First-Aid. I am a survivor thanks to a Good Samaritan! I had cardiac arrest and thanks to him i owe him my life! I think you and other like you are doing great by spreading the word!
